Angel

Angel is a current student at the University of Memphis pursuing her bachelors in Psychology. Growing up, her grandma always said, "be like a sponge, and absorb everything." She has continued to carry this principal into her studies which range from psychology, to political science, to the fine arts. Angel has a drive to learn that is reflected in her teaching style and desire to help students shoot for the stars.  

Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Angel graduated from Appomattox Regional Governors School for the Arts having completed honors and dual-enrollment curriculum, and advanced coursework in English, math, science, social-science, and the fine arts.  She was overjoyed to bring the extra knowledge she acquired in high school to college, and now to tutoring! 

Her previous background includes daycare work, camp counseling, and previous tutoring experience. Angel hopes to use her degree to service children in her longtime career, and is always excited to work professionally in this area. She strongly believes in every child's potential to succeed and is passionate about being a part of the process. 

Angel has a solid understanding of K-12 English, science, social-science, and the arts. She also is an intermediate French speaker. Her approach to tutoring focuses on understand concepts as a whole, applying information to personally relevant areas, and practicing good study habits.
