Julien

Julien McGhee is a dedicated 4th grade English teacher who is passionate about helping students achieve strong academic growth through engaging, data-driven instruction focused on reading comprehension, phonics, and TCAP preparation. While his primary background is in English and literacy instruction, he is also highly versatile in supporting all core subjects for students in grades kindergarten to 6th grade, adapting his teaching style to meet a wide range of learning needs and academic levels. He has experience working with learners performing below grade level as well as students needing enrichment, and is known for creating structured, supportive learning environments that build both skills and confidence.

In tutoring sessions, Julien brings a focused, encouraging, and high-energy approach while tailoring instruction to each student’s individual needs through targeted practice and ongoing assessment. His goal is not only to improve academic performance and test readiness, but also to help students become more confident, independent learners prepared for long-term success both inside and outside the classroom.
