Misha

Misha Kavdia excelled at Collierville High School by taking numerous Advanced Placement (AP) and honors classes, showcasing her dedication to academic excellence. As a K-8 math and English tutor, she focuses on helping students understand the material while building strong relationships to enhance their learning experience. Misha aims to positively impact her students through her tutoring efforts.

Additionally, Misha is involved with the non-profit Scientific Minds of America (SMOA), which provides educational support to K-8 students. As an outreach officer, she leads marketing campaigns, supervises tutors, and directly tutors students. She spends 2-3 hours weekly on outreach, contacting libraries, schools, and organizations to broaden their impact. Her live demonstration sessions help students grasp concepts and explore problem-solving methods.

Her experience in the Speech and Debate club has strengthened her communication skills, allowing her to effectively explain complex concepts to her tutees. With 90 NSDA points and the Honor title from competing in extemporaneous and impromptu speaking, she has refined her ability to simplify difficult topics. Tutoring at IMT has further enhanced her skills and enable her to connect with students while contributing to her community. Misha is confident in her ability to positively influence her tutees' educational journeys.
